Here is another item that sadly never made it into the finished film:

Anyone got any ideas how to fit it into the desert scenes? ;)

TOD was the idea, but then Jonathan was right when he said we didn't want to just rehash the trilogy. It just didnt make sense for it to be in the script, so it got cut

Indy and his friend Wu-Han are travelling through the Desert. Indy stops. He turns to Wu-Han.

INDY: There must have been a river here.

WU-HAN: Why do you say that Indy?

Indy points to a boat off screen.

---------------------------------------

Ok bad joke :p

Kinda taken from the old Billy Connolly joke about putting on your life jacket on an aeroplane. In all likeliness it will do you know good as the plane will go into the ground like a f**king dart. However, when Archeaologists dig you up in the future, they'll think there was a river here Twisted Evil

...anyway it could be a possible inspiration for Ken... a river in the californian desert is not so weird.

Ditto...that's hysterical... Laughing

The only way the 'pretty sure' type joke would work, chronologically, would be a tongue in cheek future reference. Like someone holding it (folded up) in a plane while asking "Is this the parachute?" And Indy irritatingly answering, "No, that's a liferaft. You can't use that as a parachute, you'd never make it down." ;)

Working 24/7 on the film, job and kid. Not much time for wordplay. Always nice to drop in though
